The call for nominations is now open to recognize boards that have made transformative efforts in the oversight of diversity and inclusion. NACD is seeking boards that have driven innovation and created long-term stakeholder value by bringing a greater variety of diverse perspectives into the boardroom.

This opportunity is part of NACD NXT, a multiyear initiative to highlight breakthrough board practices that promote greater diversity and inclusion, ultimately fostering long-term value creation.

Nominations will be evaluated by an independent selection committee of leading corporate directors and executives with diverse skills, experiences, and insights.

The winner in each category (small-cap, mid-cap, large-cap, and private companies) will be publicly announced during the NACD NXT Recognition Gala at NACD’s annual Global Board Leaders’ Summit on Saturday, September 29, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC.

Nominations should demonstrate how the nominated board defined, developed, and achieved board diversity and should specifically address how the nominated board:

• aligned the director recruitment and selection process with long-term value creation, particularly in the face of challenges from technology, social/demographic shifts, emerging risks, changes in global strategy, and other disruptive forces;
• implemented practices that led to a measureable outcome; and
• achieved a result deemed extraordinary in the context of inclusion.

Boards spanning a range of public and private companies and institutions of any size and sector are eligible for nomination.
